The following letter was sent to all parents of teenagers in our Youth Department, The Mix Student Ministries:
Dear Wonderful Parent,
Have you heard? Our current “Youth Center” is getting ready for a makeover!
As a part of Lawton First Assembly’s “The Cause” campaign, we will be temporarily relocating our youth classes and services to the Fellowship Hall, located on the West end of our campus.
Beginning June 1st, the “Youth Center” will close for construction and the Fellowship Hall will become our temporary new home! We will continue to have the games, snack bar, and smoothie shop open. Youth classes and service times will not change. Sunday morning our mid high class will meet at 9:30 and our high school class at 11:00. Wednesday night, doors open at 6pm and pick up is at 8:30pm.
The makeover of the “Youth Center” will allow us to purpose our building in a more effective way for both Youth and Adults. The newly remodeled building will allow us to provide a more secure environment, more space to hang out and build friendships, a better quality for classroom space and a better quality for our services. When we re-open the building in August, we will be kicking off our Second Service Simulcast on Sunday mornings in the new area. For more information about “The Cause” you can visit thecause.lawtonfirst.org. Stay connected for more details and if you have questions or concerns you can contact us at 580.536.9325 or email themix@lawtonfirst.org
We ask for everyone’s patience with us during the time of this renovation. For the past few weeks, our staff has been working on a plan for the West end of our parking lot that will accommodate for students to be dropped off and our students who drive.
Again, my wife, Alisha, and I extend our gratitude for the opportunity to pour into your student’s life. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact the church offices 580-536-9325 or you can email us at themix@lawtonfirst.org.
In His Service,
Pastor Heath Corrales
Youth Pastor
